About Us

The Top of the Hill Association is a non-profit organization with more than 300 members who live in the neighborhood roughly defined as enclosed by or adjacent to Memorial Boulevard and Kay Street, and Bellevue and Gibbs Avenues in Newport, Rhode Island. Top of the Hill Association hosts three to four membership-wide events annually, and supports other activities designed to foster social and cultural interaction based on member interests. The Association is also focused on civic issues that impact Top of the Hill, and engages in beautification projects to enhance our neighborhood.

Top of the Hill Committees
Top of the Hill members volunteer to do the work of the organization through the following committees:

Events - Plan and organize 3-4 membership-wide social/cultural events each year
Membership - Enroll and renew members, and maintain the member database
Community - Focus on local civic issues and neighborhood beautification


Interest Groups
In September 2009, a few dozen members formed smaller social and cultural groups based on their own special interests. New participants are always welcome, and members are encouraged to organize other groups. Click here to propose or join an Interest Group. All Top of the Hill members are invited to attend any Interest Group events.
